Step 2 - Check File Permissions
You will see in the screenshot above that the permissions on a few files and directories will need to be changed before continuing. If you're installing on a Windows server, you will have 'n/a' shown instead of the CHMOD numbers. If you are unable to continue with the settings set to 'n/a', you will need to ensure the files are writeable using your hosting console. To change file permissions you will need to use FTP Client software to get access to the hosted files on the web server. From there you can change the file and directory permissions, called CHMOD, to the required settings. Once you have done this, click on 'Retry'. If the permissions have been set correctly, you will see the dialog as shown below.
Click on 'Continue to Step 3' to proceed with the installation. |
