CubeCart Version 4 Documentation - Step 3 - Store Configuration

Google Translate:

Step 3 - Store Configuration

This step requires you to add a few settings, including the CubeCart license key.

CubeCart License Key

The license key will be supplied upon the purchase of CubeCart.

Database Settings

Database Hostname This is usually set to 'localhost'. If in doubt, use this.
Database Name This information you will have noted down from when the database was initially set up at the preparation stage.
Database Username This information you will have noted down from when the database was initially set up at the preparation stage.
Database Password This information you will have noted down from when the database was initially set up at the preparation stage.
Confirm Password Enter the password again.
Database Prefix The database tables are created by default with 'CubeCart_' as a prefix. Adding an additional prefix will change it to '*your_prefix*CubeCart_'. It is only really necessary to add your own prefix if you intend on installing multiple CubeCart stores into this database.
Drop tables if they exist This option is ticked by default. If this is a new database, then it doesn't matter whether this is ticked or not. If CubeCart was previously installed in the database you are using, and the prefix is the same, then ticking this will delete the previous CubeCart tables before installing the new tables.

Locale Setting

Store Country Sets up CubeCart with a default region using one of the options listed in the dropdown menu. It can be changed in Admin later on, so just chose the option that is closest to your location.

Administrator Configuration Settings

Username This is your Admin login username. Do not make the username too short or easy to discover.
Password This is the password for your Admin login username. Make the password difficult to guess, as it's the security of your store it's protecting.
Confirm Password Checks the password is typed correctly
Email Address This is the email address used for your Admin account, and is also set to the default email address for the Store to use. This can be changed later in Admin.
Full Name Your full name. This can be changed later in Admin.

Advanced Settings

If content is pre-populated, this section can usually be left as default.

Store URL The address of the store as seen in the browser address bar. In most cases this is pre-populated and does not need changing.
Site Root Relative Path The path of the store in relation to the website URL. In most cases this is pre-populated and does not need changing.
PHP Decoder Leave this as default, unless you know what you're doing.

Click on 'Continue to Step 4' to proceed with the installation.
