If you have added links to other pages within the store, they will need to be updated to the new paths.
The SEO Mod
If your v3 store originally used the SEO mod, upgrading to v4 will have this mod built in.
However something to note, if you enable the SEO mod in Admin, and select to automatically update the '.htaccess' file, the added code is appended to the bottom of the existing '.htaccess' file. This means that the old path addressing for the 'real' paths remains and the store will not work.
The solution is to edit the '.htaccess' file to remove the old file paths, or delete prior to updgrade. The correct contents of the '.htaccess' file is displayed in 'Admin > General Settings'.
Upgrading from v4.0.x to v4.1.x
You will need to reapply the .htaccess contents from the General Settings section of CubeCart Admin. The .htaccess file contents change during this upgrade.
Issues caused by the old .htaccess file contents with v4.1.x include site document links and the product review links not working.
