Yes... there are 3rd party services that will provide a look up on the Royal Mail PAF database.
As this database is owned by the Royal Mail, these services are not free, and you'll pay between 6.6p and 1.7p per lookup. I did find a fairly simple lat/lon vs postcode (1st 3 or 4 digits) database, but this is not what you are looking for (I guess you want to populate the store address fields from a simple postcode lookup) Anyway - it can be done, but apart from the development cost, there will be ongoing costs per query. If you are already getting the traffic, then its probably worth doing. Hope this helps, Jason |

The store is not even live yet so i'm better waiting to see how i get on first before thinking about adding it. Thanks again |

Hi, this is something I would be interested in, definatley. Some customer's goods end up at the wrong address after mistyping their address/post code.
Are there any systems in place that would actually be compatible with CubeCart? |

Are there any systems in place that would actually be compatible with CubeCart? No system that I've found. I looked at the service providers, who will provide an API for their database. As explained on my earlier post, this will require development costs and also ongoing costs per look-up. Integration into CubeCart 3/4/5(!) should be possible, as the site I looked at had a few good PHP 4 and PHP 5 demos which looked fairly easy to follow. I suggest if there is a strong need for this kind of Mod AND you guys are looking to pay for development, then ask in the relevant section on the forum. I would assume the mod would need to accommodate billing and delivery addresses, and have an admin area for setting the account details for the service provider. Jason |

Not sure if this is helpful but I found myself in a similar situation.
Theres a couple which integrate into CubeCart, Postcode Anywhere, Lexel and a few others Personally I went with Lexel as they provide free integration into your website and there alot cheaper then Postcode Anywhere, so it saved me the hassle... Lexel http://www.lexel.co.uk/services/postcode-address-finder/ Postcode Anywhere http://www.postcodeanywhere.co.uk Hope this helps |

We have integrated both CubeCart v3 & v4 with PostcodeAnywhere, using the standard 'web popup' service, which prints an inline Address finder based off the postcode entered. We also did come custom programming to better handle the address entry for for UK and non-UK addresses (as client didn't want PA being used for international).
If anyone wants to see live example, please PM us. |

This is the example Lexel provided us with .....
http://www.lexel.co.uk/account/documents/P...dressFinder.zip You should be able to just add a link called "Find Address" and then link to the page getPostcode.php. You will need to change a few things round in the code also, add licence key and change the javascript etc |

I expect most of these could work with CC3 and CC4 (both use similar forms for addresses), and the built-in JS Framework on CC4 should allow easy manipulation of address fields from Javascript. Of course there is a way
Pay Royal Mail for their Postcode service and have it intergrated into Cubecart. Database is very expensive though. |

Yet another top quality mod by Matt at SiteSmart (The Smart Web Designer) who just keeps bringing out really great mods.
I can recommend this personally and its a great mod to add to anyones stores who want a quick and easy registration process for their customers during purchase of products. Pricing is nominal around 2-3p pence per sale and if a business cant afford to offset 3p out of their profit they should be in business. This feature is normally found in the likes of large online stores such as Currys Comet, Argos etc so its a great add on and well worth the spends. Phil |
