File Name: PayPal Shopping Cart Gateway File Submitter: estelle File Submitted: 4 Aug 2007 File Category: Gateways This gateway is very similar to the standard CubeCart "PayPal Standard & IPN" gateway written by Alistair Brookbanks. The difference with this mod is that details of the shopping cart contents are passed to PayPal, so customers will be able to view full details of the products they are purchasing rather than simply seeing the final price. Details of shopping cart contents will also included in the PayPal payment notification emails sent to the customer and the store. for everyones information who uses this MOD, there is a new version out NOW. every one must upload the new file. since the changes of paypal; paypal is not including the shipping fees.

That was pretty much what estelle said. I think it might have something to do with a change that P.P. put in with their shipping module perhaps. I upgraded my old site to it. The regular gateway works fine for me and I called Paypal and as far as they could determine it was the cart sending the wrong email addy.
I've other fish to fry right now, I'll try it (yet) again and see. If anyone else has run into this email error, it'd be nice to hear. Jack |

Nice mod! Couldn't find the info in Step 2:

I get a screen that asks me to set up domestic and international shipping methods. Did PP change something? |

i think paypal has updated their site. estelle is refering to this:
paypal account>profile summary>selling preferences>posting calculations> this page can be customized for many options but at the bottom you'll see: QUOTE Miscellaneous - Allow transaction-based delivery settings to override profile settings (Optional). Just noticed this last few days that Paypal is showing the incorrect postage/shipping charges using Estelle's mod. I've been using the latest version mod and it has been perfect till this week. I'm on CC version 3.0.17 located in Australia.
It's possible that Paypal have once again changed some parameters in their merchant gateway. Check your paypal accounts or test it youself if you have the same mod. The order details in Cubecart are correct, only Paypal is incorrect. I've disabled Estelle's gateway mod and enabled the Standard Paypal IPN gateway and now Paypal is back to normal. Kev |

I've got exactly the same problem. Shipping charge in CC3 looks fine. In Paypal it's a different charge. I've tried Estelle's MOD and reverted to Paypal Standard & IPN. I've got the problem with both.

Bizarre thing for me is the Shipping amount shown in Paypal is not the same as any shipping amount I've coded into the Shipping Gateway.
Example. Shipping in CC3 is £2.70 (correct amount). In Paypal it shows as £5.50. HELP ! -------------------- You suggest it - we print it. From Mugs & Mousemats to Hoodies and Hats.

I Switched back to a previous version of the MOD. Didn't work. So re-installed the original version again. And now it works. Bizarre !

Any Chance of a version of this mod for 4.2. It is so handy for the person who processes my paypal purchases to know what the customer has ordered, instead of having to log into cube cart admin.
And yes I will be willing to pay for this mod. |

Hey Ive just installed the Paypal inp shopping cart and love it. But what I want to know is if there is some way to add more charters to the product options part of the invoice? It cuts them off half way. If no is there some way to get rid of displaying the product options. I just dont want people getting confused when they don't see some of their options. So is there just some code some where that I can edit?

Ive added this MOD and everything is working great, except the cust. shipping address is not getting passed to paypal.
Anyone have this problem or know where in the code to investigate? (I am using Standard Paypal.) Thanks midwest

Hi all,
Ive loaded this mod into version 3.0.18 and its working fine, every thing is showing in paypal correctly but i dont get the product listed all i get is the cubecart order number showing where it should show product id and description. Please see screen shot below. Has anyone any idea how to correct this? Best rgds Dave

Today i have tested version 1.6 and the shipping address is not getting passed to paypal and wen a costumer is paying paypal give a transaction Failed to the costumer and the payment status is still Pending but the transaction was success full.
I'm using cubecart version 3.0.18. Withe the original paypal module everything is working fine. |
