Nice skin, just one question I notice alot of skinners using this smart image resizing thing. My question is how does this work with images already on server? I have a client site that we cropped images as best we could to look uniformed etc. Will this redo them all? Is it simple as deleting thumbs and regenerating?

Depends on what size your client's inventory images were set at originally :-)

In the GD Settings I always use large settings like: 400 or 500 for both thumb and main so the script can do what I want it to do, when I want it to do it. It helps enormously that I use large images anyway. I rarely use images less than 200px high or wide. I generally have up to 8 skins on one install. Each skin may use different settings so larger is best for me.

Having said that large settings (GD) is probably a good thing if you're going to use this script, really. The script has its own cache folder which lives on your server, along with the lightweight php script. A simple "script" call on your image src will send the request to the php script on the server, where it renders a png version of the original image and stores it in the cache folder. It's that image that is displayed on the website and not the original you may have uploaded via "Upload Image" >> CubeCart Admin

Important thing to note: The script resizes down, not up. It doesn't touch your inventory images at all - don't forget it duplicates them for faster rendering. If your inventory images were small to begin with, let's say they were 200w by 196h, and you want to display 400px square images, then the script cannot help you. The script will crop from any angle / side or ratio decrease using width or height or both dimension without loss of quality or distortion. It's ideal for GIF images!

The only thing it cannot do is make small images larger.

I know this is for v3. (we still have this)
but have only just been made aware that its no longer supported.

If i bought this skin for a v3 shop.. is it easily portable to v4 if we needed it to?
Or would you do it at a reduced rate inline with v3 no longer being supported
