This mod is perfect for all stores where product options are used and stock levels need to be tracked for the various sizes/colours/etc of a product.

Description:
This mod will allow you to define unique stock levels and product codes for your product options.
For example: For Product A...
- Size: Small, Colour: Red -- Stock Level: 10
- Size: Small, Colour: Green -- Stock Level: 20
- Size: Medium, Colour: Red -- Out of Stock
- Size: Medium, Colour: Green -- Not Available

Features:

• Stock levels are updated following successful purchases
• Each product variation can also have a unique product code for inventory tracking.
• The stock level and product code is dynamically updated on the product information page when the customer selects chooses different product options from the drop down boxes
• Customers will not be permitted to add a product to their basket if it is out of stock in the size or colour (etc) that they have selected -- a javascript popup warning will be displayed indicating that the product is out of stock in the product options that they have chosen. (Unless your store is configured to allow purchase of products that are out of stock)
• New feature: Product options that are out of stock are removed from the list of drop down choices, where possible (** refer to product information page at our store for full information).

We have now also released this mod for CubeCart 4!

Once I choose from the drop downs then click submit, I get this error:

P.S. I have just upgraded to CC V.3.0.17, however the mod version I have is V1. (this is probably what is doing the errors as the mod worked fine on 3.0.13). I still have my license, am I allowed to get an upgraded version?
Please give me some advice on what to do when you have the time. Thanks Estelle

I believe we spoke via email a while back. Just a note to everyone else, you can get the latest update for any of my mods by contacting me. The problem shown above was fixed a long time ago, perhaps in version 2.0.

Hi Estelle,

I have recently bought the stock options mod and also the product accessories and edit options mod from you. On any product accessories assigned to one of the main products it shows the stock available as:

White - Size 8
White - Size 10

etc..

However on the main product page it shows a drop down box for the colours and a separate dropdown box for the size. For example this product:

On the stock control we have entered the following stock:
Black - 32A 1
Black - 32B 1

However when you look at this product and view black it shows you the other sizes which have the stock entered against them being the Latte option it does not just show you 32A and 32B.

Is there anything I can do to fix this - advise would be much appreciated.

With "Stock Levels for Product Options", wherever possible product options will be hidden when they are out of stock or not available. In some cases its not possible, for example if colour 'Red' is sold out in size 'Medium' but still available in size 'Small', the 'Red' colour will still be shown however the customer will be prevented from purchasing it in size 'Small'. If the customer selects size 'Small' and colour 'Red', they will see a message explaining that this combination of sizes/colours is temporarily out of stock. If they try to purchase it, a popup warning will be displayed and they will not be permitted to purchase it.

To prevent out of stock product options from being displayed or purchased, check that your settings as set up as follows:

• Within Admin -> 3rd Party -> SLPO, check that the "Hide product options that are out of stock" option is enabled.
• Within Admin -> Edit Product, make sure the "Use stock level" setting is enabled for the product.
• Within Admin -> General Settings, make sure "Allow out of stock purchases" is disabled.

If something is not working as it should:

• Check your includes/content/viewProd.inc.php file to make sure that the second change was added at the correct place, and check the file was uploaded successfully to the correct folder within your store (i.e. upload it again to be sure!)

Just some background info here... The "Product Accessories" mod displays product options in a non standard way. It combines the product options into a single drop down list, which is great if you have one or two product options (e.g. size and colour), it keeps the Product Accessories nice and simple on the page so that they don't distract from the main product. However it doesn't necessarily work well if there are three or more product option groups, so I will not be designing any mods in this way in future. The Product Accessories mod that I am developing for CubeCart 4 will show options in the usual way with separate drop down lists.

estelle, i'm thinking about installing this in my cc v3 store, but ideally i would like to have a graphic display of product stock. would it be possible to tweak this mod?

If you have experience with PHP/HTML or can arrange to hire a programmer, then yes it would be very possible.

Hi Estelle,

Its me again I have bought this great mod for a couple of web stores but they both want to have the stock options sorted in size order particuarly the lingerie shop as she wants all the bra sizes i.e. 34a, 34b,34c, in apha numeric order but they are automatically sorted I am not sure possibly the order they were entered in product options its hard to work it out.

Is it possible?
