Description:

A new native CubeCart v5 plugin for managing stock levels on individuals options. For example, let's say you had an item that came in two colors, red and white. But you only had 1 item in red and 10 in white. With the plugin enabled, when you sell the red item, this option will be removed from the dropdown and your customers will not be able to select red while white will still be available.

In addition to the stock level management, the plugin also adds default option prices. Just like CubeCart used to do in versions 3 and 4, the store admin can now set default prices on individual options and the plugin will assign these prices when options are added to a product. In addition to the default prices, the plugin also adds default weight and stock levels to each option.

Installation is a snap! simply upload and enable!

This mod does what i want BUT! it is possible to :

When set to 0 show : AVAILABLE but not in stock (like the item stock system)

Because for our store, we use stock for product available in store while the other status (AVAILABLE) can be ordered from.

Example

CONDOR 36' DOUBLE BAG :

BLACK : IN STOCK 2
TAN : AVAILABLE (in store 0 but available from supplier)
OLIVE DRAB : IN STOCK 1
ACU : AVAILABLE (in store 0 but available from supplier)

Ive installed the mod but am struggling a bit I can not make it reduce stock options. For example I have put in 2 white and 2 red but because I have a total of 4 products I can purchase 4 white.

A couple of questions:
Is this an upgrade for Estelle's SLPO mod? Does it use the same tables?

Is there a low-stock report to go with this? Estelle's SLPO mod kept its data in a separate table which the existing replenishment report did not look at and I had to write a custom one to see the option stocks that were running out. I would rather not do that again.

I am about to move my CC4 to CC5 and this is a key component so thanks!

Hi Russ,

No, this is not an upgrade for Estelle's SLPO mod and it does not use SLPO tables.

This is a new custom Plugin, written from ground up for the new CC v5.x. The plugin uses existing database options table to maintain inventory instead of creating custom tables.
Sorry, there is no low-stock report.

Hi there,

We're looking at swapping our current store software to cubecart and also would like the stock control for options but have some additional questions before we 'jump ship' (currently running the 14 day trial)

We sell, among other things, clothing and have set up some test items with colours and sizes.

We would like to control stock of each option so:

Options Colour:
black
blue

Options Size:
small
medium

We may have 4 black small but only 3 blue small, is this achievable? If not then we'll just have sizes as an option but the above would be fantastic

Finally, and this is the most important for us really, can you display actual stock figures on the screen. EG:

black small - 4
black medium - 3
blue small - 3
blue medium - 5
etc

However, I'm proficient in php coding (the main reason I'm liking the store software so much!) and could write a query to display the stock but without knowing how your mod stores the values it's difficult to give an informed decision to our management team!

We are just upgrading one of our V4 client that currently uses Estelle's SLPO mod and your V5 plugin initially looks like the obvious choice, however I can see a couple of problems !

1) The V4 SLPO mod added the ability for each product variant to have its own unique product code - this could be entered manually or could be auto-generated. This is critical for this client but many other people that use the V4 mod will also require this

2) The image below appears to indicate that you are holding stock at each product option and not at the product variant which if you have two different product options (say size and colour) is the way that it should work. If you have shoes for example that come in colour and size variations then hold a stock level at size 7 doesnt mean anything whereas you should be holding stock at Brown size 7 and Brown size 8. Unless I am missing something very obvious, your mod will only work if have one product option

I'd like to know as well. As yet we've not made the decision to jump to cubecart, and if we can't get confirmation that we can do as above then we'll be sticking with what we've got for now.

This mod doesnt work (we have clients that have purchased it and are not happy !) so that is probably why you are not able to buy it.

Another reason is that I have been told that this functionality will be in the next release of CubeCart. Dont hold me to that as I have nothing directly to do with CubeCart so if anyone wants confirmation whether it will be the next version or some future version then best to check with Devellion !

OK I won't hold you to it. It really should be there as a default, if you have options, and you have a stock counter, they really need to work together.
