I can't stress enough -- you really should try out the demo for this one!!

If you're unsure whether this shipping module will work for you, please contact me and provide full details of what you need.

Description:

This shipping module is extremely flexible. It allows unlimited shipping zones, unlimited shipping methods, and unlimited shipping rates.

The shipping zones can be based on countries, states/provinces, or postal code regions.

It allows you to enter whatever you want for your shipping method names, e.g. "Regular Shipping (4-5 days)", "Express Shipping (1 day)", "First Class", "USPS", "UPS" etc (note that these are just descriptions -- this module does NOT get live shipping rates from USPS or any other shipping company).

It allows you to create shipping rates which depend on the weight of the order, e.g. $3.00 for 0-1kg, $4.50 for 1-2kg, etc. It allows you to create shipping rates which depend on the value of the order, e.g. free shipping for orders over $75. It allows you to create shipping rates which depend on the number of items, e.g. $3.00 per item for the first 3 items, then $1.00 per item for each additional item. And it allows you to use ANY MIX of these! (To see the full complexity of ways in which you can setup your shipping rates, try out the demo and tick ALL of the checkboxes within the settings at the top - but please return the settings to normal when you are done!)

Your shipping rates can be setup incredibly quickly, the Admin area has been improved in all areas and lots of javascript code allows you to edit, insert or delete any of the shipping rates (for a single zone) without reloading the page!

Very friendly user interface. If you mark a shipping rate for deletion, or edit a shipping rate, then change your mind, you can even undo these individual changes by clicking the "undo" button (green curly arrow in the image below) as long as you have not yet clicked the "Save Changes" button.

To allow choice, this is a separate mod. The number starts at 2.0 because it was based on the other mod, but it is far superior smile.gif. Not yet sure whether I will update the other mod to have the same improved interface and quick editing functionality.

Yes, it shows the currency and weight unit, as setup within the Admin -> General Settings.

The currency and weight units are displayed simply to prevent confusion since you can create shipping rates for a particular weight range, and subtotal range, and even for a particular item count range, all at the same time.

Version 2.4 just released. Please contact me if you have purchased this module and want the latest version. The major changes are:

Sort Order
Allows you to sort the shipping options in the order of your choice, three options: Same order as created, Cheapest first or Most expensive first. (Note that this doesn't affect other shipping modules that you may also be using such as USPS, UPS, etc).

Postcode number ranges
Better support for numeric postcodes. You can now enter number ranges for postcode zones.

Does anyone know how to set up the catch all bit so that it gets all postcodes you haven't listed.

I am trying to set it up so that we do free delivery over £75 for mainland UK, but allow me to put a surcharge in for certain post code areas and Ireland.

I also want to give free delivery on products within one certain category of the shop, can this be done ?

@discoworld

Zone 1. "UK special regions" - this is a postcode zone with the country set to United Kingdom and your postcodes entered.
Zone 2. "Rest of UK" - this is a simple country zone consisting of United Kingdom. This zone will act as a catch-all for any customers who are in the UK but whose postcode does not fall within Zone 1.
Zone 3. "Ireland" - this is a simple country zone consisting of Ireland.

You would need to enter separate shipping rates for each zone, the rates that you would enter for Zone 1 and Zone 3 would be higher than the rates for Zone 2 (mainland UK).

Free shipping for some products only
To have free shipping for certain products (regardless of where they are being shipped to) please see Custom Shipping Fee for Selected Products CC4. This "Custom Shipping Fee" mod can be used in conjunction with any shipping module such as "All In One Shipping with Postcodes" to give free shipping or a custom shipping fee for certain products in your catalogue.

Default Zone (International)
Note that it is never possible to delete this zone, it is a catch-all for any customers who do not fall into the zones that you have manually setup. If you want to ship to all locations worldwide then you should enter shipping rates for the default zone. If you DON'T want to ship worldwide, then simply don't enter any shipping rates for the default zone. Please refer to the built-in help documents for full information!

Thanks Estelle - we have purchased the custom shipping fee module and running it alongside the All In One Postcode module.... superb product. The only downside is if your customer orders a mixed order of normal products and the ones with free shipping it doesn't count them as a cobined order towards the standard free shipping.. does that make sense ?

I don't think that would be possible would it ?

Example, we sell discs and if you order these on their own they are posted so we can offer free delivery. With our products we give free delivery at £75 to most of the UK. However, if you order say £60 of normal products and £20 of discs we would still give free delivery and send it all by courier... the mods don't allow this.

Apart from that it is superb.

Hi Estelle.

I'm using "All In One" Shipping Module with Postcodes v2.5 module with CC4.3.3

I'm getting this error in the warning log Didn't qualify for any shipping options with the AIOS module.
I'm assuming this is because the only filter I have at the moment in AIOS is to make any order above $198 ship for free. I don't get this error when the cart order meets or exceeds that price.

For everything else I'm using the existing UPS functionality of CC.

Is this going to create problems for me or does your module and the UPS module play nicely together?

@LeadEquity - The Warning Log feature is designed for stores with complex shipping zones or shipping prices, it will report cases where the customer was not offered any shipping options by this shipping module. However, this module does not have knowledge of other shipping modules. If you are purposefully using this shipping module to only offer shipping to some customers or some orders, then you can safely disable the Warning Log feature.

Im playing with this mod on your deom store right now and have a question.
If I use a country say Australia, with its 8 states, all of which are already a part of your system, how do I set a different price per kg for each state??
It seems to configure the whole of Aus as one big state which seems strange when you specifically have the option to add these 8 states.
Do I have to make a "zone" for each state?

Hi Chargin,

Yes, you will have to set each state up as a zone. Then, make a zone under all 8 states and make a zone for "Australia" as the whole country. It goes in order from top to bottom... so if the zone somehow is not one of the 8 states, maybe some other Australian territory, the "Australia" zone will be a catch-all. So, the 8 states being zones above "Australia" will make them be checked first.

Make sense? I'm really tired and typing with tired eyes, so this may almost sound like a ramble.

Yup I think Ive actually figured it out.
I havent done a "catchall" as yet though.
I bought the mod and installed it, love these "module" mods that dont need any code edits.

Will this mod allow free postage if the customer enters a certain postcode at the checkout?

We offer free delivery within 20 miles of our location and are looking for a mod that can recognise postcodes automatically.
