This mod will force your customers to choose from the available product options (size, colour, etc). The mod adds a "Please select..." option as the default choice in each drop down list of product options, and the customer will not be able to add the product to their basket until they have made selected sizes/colours/etc.

New Feature - force input in text input fields:

If you have CubeCart 4.2.x (or more recent versions) and use the textbox/textarea options you can now use this mod to make these fields required/mandatory.

Features:

If the customer attempts to add a product to their basket without making a selection, warning messages will be displayed beside each product option that needs a selection. The warning messages fade in using a javascript effect, try out the demo to see how it looks.

You can choose which product options will force a selection. This new feature means that only some of your product options will have the new "Please select..." option at the top of the drop down list. So for example you could choose important product options like "Colour" and "Size" to force a selection, whereas other product options which are rarely selected e.g. "Gift Wrapping" could be left as normal.

can this be modified so that if a customer selects black it only shows the sizes available in that colour?

for example.. say you have black available in s & m but you have red available in m & xl. When a customer selects black in the first box can it be made to show only s & m in the second box. But if they select red it would then show m & xl. This would also carry onto the style box where only the style available in that size and colour would be shown?

Gav - No sorry, at the present time I do not have any mods that allow dependent/cascading product options. The closest thing I have is Stock Levels for Product Options which allows you to indicate that black is available in small and medium but not in extra large (etc). This mod works by showing a message if the selected colour is unavailable in the selected size, and prompting the customer to try a different size/colour.
