Customer Groups - Product Prices CC4
About the Author: I have a wide range of mods, all top quality and backed by great support. I am a long time member of the CubeCart community, writing mods for over 2 years (October 2005)! -- View my feedback -- Visit Estelle's Mod Store Mod Version: 1.0 Mod License: Commercial: per Web Server Installation Cost: $29.95 ![]() ![]() Description: This CubeCart mod allows you to setup customer groups and for each customer group you can set different product prices. You can create any number of customer groups (e.g. wholesale, distributors, etc) and you can assign any of your customers to one of these groups. For each product you can set the exact price that each customer group will pay for that product. When a customer is assigned a group and is logged in, they will then see their custom price displayed within the product details page (below the regular price). When the customer adds an item to their basket, the correct price for their customer group will be displayed within the shopping cart box and within the checkout pages. Within the checkout pages, below the totals, the customer will be told the total customer discount that they have received (displayed in dollars or their selected currency). Important notes:
This mod is fully integrated with the following customer group mods and discount mods. To avoid customers receiving excessive discounts when combining deals, care has been taken to ensure that each product is only discounted once by any quantity discount mods and once by any customer group mods:

Hello, could this allow for different taxes based on customer group? Would users choose their group when they signup?
Thank you |

For anyone else with similar questions - no, it doesn't allow different taxes for the different customer groups. The administrator has full control over the customer groups - the customers cannot choose their own group.

@Nel - If you plan to use the Import Catalogue feature of CubeCart to populate your products, then you can include the customer groups prices at the same time. But it is not possible to import just the customer group prices after you have already added your products. Alternatively you could try using the Export Catalogue feature to export your CubeCart products to a CSV file, then add in the customer group prices and use the Import Catalogue feature... however this would change all of your product IDs so I wouldn't recommend this if you have already gone live with your store.

I'm new at this so if this is a dumb question I apologize in advance.
If I understand this mod correctly I will get the set up for each product in the cart and establish a price for each product that will be assigned to a designated group. I have a site for a membership group that I want to give a discount to but I also sell products to the public. I want to establish a "public" price and offer a lower price for members as a member benefit. I also have membership payments in the cart that I do not want discounted for anyone. So, will I be able to list membership payments as no discount and logo shirts at a discount? Also this will be done with each product as I enter the products, correct? |
