*** Note that with this mod the images DON'T switch automatically, they are not constantly changing. The images switch when the customer clicks on one of the thumbnails.


This CubeCart mod is perfect for all stores that have multiple images for any products.

This mod will show all of the images that you have linked to a product as thumbnails in a row beside the main image. When the user clicks on one of the thumbnails, the full size version of the image will be shown in place of the main image, using Javascript.

Note: The images are not pre-loaded.

Great mod.

However I'm having issues with it under 3.0.18. I sent you an email via your helpdesk this morning. The thumbnails display, but the image doesnt change when you click on one of the thumbs. I can attach my edited files so you can double check if you like.

FYI, if any other customers install the mod and find that the thumbnails are displayed but nothing happens when they are clicked, this indicates an installation mistake - check the first change that was made to your viewProd.tpl file and make sure that the inserted text has not all gone onto a single line (it should be around 7 separate lines of text).

Yes, there is no limit to the number.

This mod allows you to display the thumbnails either below the main product image (in a horizontal row) or to the right of the main product image (in a vertical row). If you have lots of images make sure you follow the instructions explaining how to display the thumbnails underneath the main product image in a horizontal row. Then with many images the thumbnails will wrap and be displayed in two or more rows in the page.

from what i gather, the image thumbs in the preview are using the size of the thumbnails based on what thumbnail size is chosen in the admin (also used for latest product thumbs and category product thumbs).

i have my thumbs set pretty large for that...any word on how i can alter the size of the thumbs in the mod? i have it set up to display the preview thumbs to the right of the main image. i need to make them smaller inside what the mod does vs. what's used on other parts of the site.

You could edit the thumbnail img tag to add this: width="50%"

I am working on a mod to allow four image sizes, including two different thumbnail sizes, the regular image size, and lightbox image size. I am not yet sure when it will be completed.

hey estelle...

i installed the Advanced Expanding Categories mod, and now this mod from you is not working and the "+ More Images" has shown back up, although i can't click on it.

any ideas on where a conflict might have occurred?


actually i just compared edited files and it was the SEO mod that screwed it up, not the expanding categories one. it had replaced includes/content/viewProd.inc.php. went in there and repasted your code and it works. my bad for jumping the gun haha.
