CubeCart 4 already integrates with Google Analytics, excluding one major area - Ecommerce Tracking. With the installation of this free mod you can trace transactions to campaigns and keywords, get loyalty and latency metrics, and identify your revenue sources. You can view reports for any time period of your choice and you can easily compare data collected over two different time periods. Ecommerce reports include:

Nice mod!

Wondering if anyone knows.....ive never used the google service. So ive setup a new account. Inserted the code into the CC admin....is that it or is there settings i need to do in google analytics itself? I noticed that it has filters and goal settings or is that what is being covered in the mod?

Just wondering if im supposed to input anything else into the analytics service itself? Talk about analytics noobie or what!!

just installed this mod on a 4.1.1 store (yes i know it says its not tested on 4.1.1, but it seemed generic enough to try) and while I don't get any errors

this is what my confirmed page looks like ..

it looks like the mod isn't outputting anything where it should .. any ideas ?

@hennaboy - Within your Google Analytics account you will have to enable the Ecommerce feature.

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click Edit next to the profile you'd like to enable.
3. On the Profile Settings page, click edit next to Main Website Profile Information.
4. Change the E-Commerce Website radio button from No to Yes.

@energy0m - Please send me an email with your website URL. Please also confirm that you have entered your google analytics ID within the CubeCart Admin -> General Settings page?

I am glad someone had time to write this mod up... I have had it oscommerce tracking running for sometime but had no time to write it up!!

Estelle, do you have any idea if this might 'just work' with a CC 3.0.17 installation? If not, can you suggest what I might be able to do? (Looking at the v3 code it doesn't look the same, I'd be happy to pay for a cc v3 version of this).

@spanishben - No, it won't work for CubeCart 3.0.17 as is. For CubeCart 3 the code will need to be changed, also the Google Analytics tracking code will need to be added into the page headers (styleTemplates/global/cart.tpl and styleTemplates/global/index.tpl). I will release this same mod for CubeCart 3 but not immediately... the mod doesn't yet work with the Print Order Form and I'm not sure if it works with gateways other than PayPal. If you'd like to be notified by email when this mod is released for CubeCart 3, send me an email.

Please post any feedback here. If the mod does/doesn't work successfully on CubeCart 4.1.x or earlier versions, and if the mod does/doesn't work successfully with gateways other than PayPal... let me know.

Ive had sales and the analytics code is in the general settings, website is set to www.henna-boy.co.uk/shop which is for the shop part of my website.

Anayltics isnt tracking anything though. Vistors, sales everything is 0 - does it report on a 24hr+ delay??

I use Nochex, 2CO and Paypal for my payment methods.

When you select the date in Google Analytics, make sure that you are selecting the range to include today. There is a delay. If Google is showing that you code is installed correctly (in the dashboard), try wait for 24 hours and check again.

Version 1.1 released to fix a compatibility issue with CubeCart 4.1.x and 4.0.x stores. Added explanations of how to test whether the mod is going to work (so that you don't have to wait 24 hours to see if the stats show up in GA).

Support for Print Order Form has not yet been added, will be added in a future version.

I'm also getting no output on the order receipt except for the start and end mod tags and can confirm that GA is working for the rest of the website. Using Authorize.net as the gateway and CC 4.2.2. I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of sending you an e-mail with the store URL as well Estelle.

Edit: This probably has something to do with test mode on authorize.net

it throws errors in Firebug ... but if you make the VAR statements lower case it throws no errors ...

Cool starting to get click through reports on the analytics now....still waiting for the ecommerce conversions to come through as its still showing 0 but that may be from Nochex as apparently its not fully intergrated into CC4

Very nice mod hopefully the ecom conversion stats will come through if not then it dont matter

Just a quick query about the google tracking code. When i check to see if analytics is set up properly, it seems my site is using the old code:

If you login to google analytics they have a new version of the code which is what is in Estelle's instructions and what is used in CC 4.2.2

So im assuming that the older is code is in the older CC4 versions.

How can i add this new code into cc4.1.1 though, as i'm under the impression that for Estelle's mod to work the google analytics code has to be added into the admin of the store, not merely pasting the new code into the skin templates?

Just checked with the new updated version of the mod (1.1), and seems to work fine as is. I am getting the correct result in the confirmation HTML anyway. Will have to see if it shows up in Analytics.

would still be interested to know how to do this though...
