Description:
This mod allows you to backorder items that have been ordered but are out of stock.

When an order has been placed but one of the items is out of stock, you can view the order details and click "Backorder this Product" for the product that is out of stock. The product will be marked as backordered and will be removed from the original order. A new order will be created for you, containing just the out of stock product. This new order will have a status of "Backorder" to highlight that the order is waiting on an item to be restocked.

The original order can then be processed/dispatched without the backordered item.

You can keep track of any orders that are waiting on items to be restocked by looking for orders with a status of "Backorder". The following free mod makes this easy: Order Status Filter

When the item is restocked, the status of the new order can then be switched from "Backorder" to "Processing" and the order can be processed as a normal order.

Compatibility:
This mod is compatible with all mods available through Estelles Mod Store, including Add/Edit Orders with Add Customer.

Sounds like a great mod estelle.

Can you tell me -are you able to mark multiple items from a single order for backorder (eg. if I have two or more items for the same customer that need to be marked as a backorder - are they 'kept together' when the new backorder is created...)?

I think I shallbe asking for your availability to add this to a few of my stores...

The mod only allows you to backorder a single item at a time, so each item that is backordered would go into a separate new order.
