Had excellent service from Ian at Havenswift. Had major problems with my store, partly due to the database being set up wrong by my previous host and partly down to errors in the CubeCart search engine. Ian worked directly with Alistair at CubeCart and got the problems sorted. I would recommend Havenswift to anyone who needs a host with good CubeCart support.

I recently contacted Ian at Havenswift-Hosting with regards to the their mod 'Enhanced Admin Order Entry for CubeCart V4'.

Initially I had a few technical questions which I emailed, and I received a clear, prompt response within 10 minutes. Quick contact is very much appreciated since often technical issues need to be resolved quickly.

After I purchased the mod, I installed but unfortunately ran into some compatability issues due to complications with my old V4 setup. However, Ian was more than happy to assist with these problems, and worked independently and quickly to fully resolve any issues I had.

All contact with Ian was punctual, clear and concise, with all instructions provided in an excellent format.

Given the great price and support of the mod, not to mention the excellent, first rate functionality, I am 100% satisfied and impressed with the service and product and would therefore recommend Ians work to anyone looking for a great mod, with the additional benefits of support. Support (hard to come by!) is most important with any CC mods in case of any problems, and I am pleased to recommend Ian's help ten times over.

Highly recommended to all, and will be back again soon. As for the mod itself, it is a worthy addition to anyone looking to add extra Admin functionality for manual order entry.

We had been running a CC store on a shared hosting package, at one of the well known 'low monthly payment, domain name for life, ideal starter package' type hosts. This worked well for about a year, but we noticed that the bigger, and busier, we got, the more problems we encountered - site offline, running very slow, customers unable to complete payments before timeout's occured etc.

We decided to move to a more professional hosting arrangement, originally thinking of our own virtual server - but having researched these, and the astronomical prices and maintenance contracts (which are not advertised up front!), we were back at square zero.

Attacking the problem from a different angle, we decided to come to cubecartforums.org to research hosts, hoping that we could find a host who would be fully tuned in to cubecart.

And boy, are we glad we did!

I contacted Ian at Havenswift Hosting, and discussed with him the problems we were having, and what we were ideally looking for. He suggested a package for us, which was at a very reasonable price.

Now, the painful bit - actually moving the store! We agreed a move date, at a time that suited our business, and Ian did a lot of setting up work for us. He created our account on his servers, gave us a fixed IP and a SSL certificate, and, after I gave him access to our existing host, he took a copy of our existing setup and uploaded it to its new home.

At the agreed time, it was simply a matter of closing the original store, dumping the database, sending it to Ian who then uploaded it to our new store.

All this was done through online chat, and he held my hand the whole of the way. The whole process was complete, and the store offline, for only about an hour and a half.

Since then, Ian has been very quick to respond to the occasional niggly teething trouble, and all have been set right very quickly. He even spotted some banners that I had added that were slowing the site down, and removed them for me!

All in all, I cannot recommend Havenswift hosting enough. Excellent quality of service at reasonable rates, by someone who is a professional CubeCart developer. What more could you ask for?

I have had several dealings with Havenswift, for various custom scripting, and for mod support their products. Their instant communication, honesty and willingness to go the extra mile on projects have won me over as a repeat customer. You can really tell when people love what they do because their customer service really shines through. Congratulations Ian on a great business model and outstanding products!

Their site seems to completely down as of today. Ian is a nice guy, but I never have received much of a working mod for his order-entry system.

I'm hoping this is temporary.

The server has been through a recent upgrade which required some overnight (for the UK anyway!) downtime but this was notified well in advance to all customers, although as a user of a mod this would not have affected you at all.

Regarding the mod, I spent hours talking and demonstrating the mod to you before you decided to purchase - this being due to the issues that you had with a previous mod that you purchased from another mod author. I even added a couple of bits of extra functionality at no charge prior to you buying and at that stage you were happy.

Since then I have also added 3 further bits of functionality that you have requested, again all at no charge to yourself. Have you downloaded and installed the latest version ? While this latest version doesnt specifically fix any bugs, it did add the extra functionality.

You have not logged a support ticket (or even sent me an email) to say that there are "problems" so to hear it first via a public forum like this is disappointing. There are many users that have successfully installed and run this mod on very busy stores.

If you are running the latest version and have specific bugs with the functionality, then please open a support ticket and as always, I will take a look at it immediately.

UPDATE : All "problems" were fixed once the latest version (which included the modifications written especially for Jack) were uploaded to the site

Ian has been a blessing to our Cube Cart needs!!! He has been quick to reply to questions and concerns and always keeps you updated all along the process. We ordered the Supplier & Drop-Shipping Mod that we desperately needed to keep track of our Suppliers and their information. It's so nice to be able to look at a product and have that information already there. We have also used Ian for other odds and ends and he is absolutely GREAT and VERY knowledgeable!!! We would recommend Ian and Havenswift!!

Have to say Brilliant service from Ian - moved my site very quickly and gave clear updates all the way through and fixed a couple of issues I had with my store also! Feel at last I have somebody on hand who knows about cubecart and responds to quetions quickly.

I was having problems with my web host and was looking for a someone who had specialist knowledge of Cubecart programs. After reading so many glowing reviews online about their services, I contacted Havenswift. There were a few things on my site that needed attention Ian sorted them out super-fast and didn't charge anywhere near what others had quoted for the same work. It was my intention to just get those few things done by Havenswift and stay with my web host and server.

However once I experienced the professional service, in-depth knowledge and quick responses combined with Ian's courteous and friendly manner, I couldn't wait to transfer the hosting of my site and control of all my domains to Havenswift - lock, stock and barrel. I had contacted them on a Wednesday morning and was so impressed with them that by Friday afternoon I had moved everything over to their server and have never looked back.

My web site is what generates most of my income, therefore I am extremely cautious about how and by whom it is run. Having been online for many years now, I have had 3 previous hosting companies, with varying degrees of satisfaction. When Ian showed me some very basic problems with my site that needed urgent attention, I was mortified that my previous hosts had not told me about them or offered to put them right. The contrast between dealing with Havenswift and other companies that I had been with is like day and night. Now for the first time I am confident that my site is in the best hands it could possibly be in.

Havenswift are like a breath of fresh air when there are so many companies out there who are either incompetent or ridiculously over-priced, or both. I consider myself lucky to have finally found a company that I can trust completely to look after my site with first-class service and expert advice. I simply cannot recommend Havenswift highly enough.

I have one regret...............and that is that I didn't move my sites over to Havenswift sooner.
The service has been superb and the server speed is far better than I'm used to.

Just to let anyone out there know.

I have been with 8 hosting companies over the past year and had problems with them all. I have now found someone - "Ian" at Havenswift that knows what he is on about.
The problems that I had with my website that caused me to move around so much have now been sorted by Ian and my website is the most stable I have seen it. If you need help with just about anything he will either sort it for you or know someone who can. He goes that little bit further than you might expect and if he sees a problem he will sort or give advice where needed. In fact, NO, He goes a lot further than most of the jack ass companies out there.

I have two Standard accounts, one Business account and a Dedicated Server all provided by Havenswift Hosting. Support has been second to none and I haven't had any problems with downtime at all on any of the accounts. All support issues have been resolved within 1-2 hours maximum too, including outside of regular 9-5 hours.

Ian has gone way beyond the usual level of support you would expect from a hosting company, including working until 11pm to ensure that when one of my client sites was moved to the Dedicated Server it would have minimal impact on the sites traffic.

I have no problem in recommending Havenswift Hosting, and I no longer have to worry about clients phoning me at all hours complaining about hosting issues biggrin.gif

I purchased the HTML email mod on the recommendation of my developer. He has installed this mod on a couple sites, and thought it was a good addition. Upon purchasing, my developer asked me to verify if what I had was the most current as there was an issue with the code; so I did. As it turns-out, there was an issue...

The company was quick to respond, and got a fix out to me. We installed it, and it didn't install the SQL directories the way it was supposed to, and my developer had to manually install them. Once it was installed, I couldn't figure-out how to use it, so I sent an email asking for an instruction-set. The answer I received was pretty much "is self-explanatory."

This was a little disappointing, so I asked for a refund, on the basis that it doesn't work and the customer service was bad (albeit quick). As it turns-out, there are no refunds. But if I want to pay them, they will take my money; no way! If it wasn't a 35.00 purchase, I would have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Actually, I am still thinking of it!

It's unfortunate, but my experience has not been pleasant. The code is a bit sloppy, and the support was non-existent. There are others before me that are happy, but I am not!

It is very easy to be critical and unfortunately this is a very one sided view of what actually happened so it deserves a response !! I really dont like doing this (and thankfully, have to do it extremely rarely !) but your posting needs a response and I have given detailed answers underneath each of your specific points.

We worked on the fix as a priority first thing Monday (yesterday) and as soon as it was available, I updated the ticket with a detailed response telling you (and the mysterious developer) exactly which files had been updated and the one additional column that had been added to one of the tables. I also gave you details of two different ways that the table and data could be updated although any developer should easily have been able to add a single column to a table. I have no idea what you mean by sql directories as my mod does not use this (whatever they are ?)

The mod is fairly complicated to install as there are a lot of file changes but there are extremely detailed installation instructions and also setup and usage instructions at the bottom of this document. Apart from setting up the cron process to work based on whatever your web hosting company's email sending limits are, this is a very straight forward mod to actually use once installed. However, you have sent a further 4 ticket updates today each of which I have answered with a detailed answer each time which considering is was before midday that you posted this complaint isnt bad !! I have also asked you several specific questions to try and work out exactly where you are having the problem, none of which you have answered which makes it extremely difficult to help you !!

The mod does work extremely well and is installed in quite a few sites already and I really wonder what sort of customer service would ever count as good in your books. What I offered to you was that if you wanted to pay for the installation service, I would check over the whole installation for you and also try to get to the bottom of whatever issues you were having. A lot of people fail to pay for installation and then expect to be hand-held through any problems they get - even so, I do generally do this anyway (as I have with you) as we pride ourselves on our levels of customer service but there are limits for the purchase of a 20 mod.

The code is sloppy - really ? As a very large percentage of the code is encoded using ionCube, I would love to know how you came to this opinion and what qualifications as a php programmer you have ? The code in all of our mods is never sloppy

If a large number of almost instantaneous ticket responses starting Sunday evening and continuing every day since counts as non-existent support, then there is no pleasing some people !

My offer still stands of helping you to get this mod installed and working exactly as you need it to but if you choose not to take that up.....

Bought the 'Throttle email mod' from Havenswift-Hosting.

Installed by myself, but Ian still provided an excellent service, very quick replies to email, and great support as he helped me with a mysql problem I was having.

I have recently been working on a mp3 download and merchandise store with Ian and his developers @ Havenswift and have been very pleased with the results.

After supplying my initial requirements to Ian he laid out a concise solution for me which involved implementing a very flexible custom audio player to allow customers to preview the downloadable audio products as well as modifying the css and store layout to my specifications.

Havenswift proved to be an excellent resource and helped develop our ideas very well. Very good communication worth a particular mention, with prompt replies to my queries even at 1-2am in the morning giving me the peace of mind that my project was being handled with a good level of care and attention. Something that had been seriously lacking with my previous developer(!) I will no doubt be using Havenswift in the near future for further development as the store grows.
