Becoming a Commercial Contributor

What is a Commercial Contributor?
A member of CubeCartForums.org who is permitted to be commercially active, ie receive payment for products and services through the use of CubeCartForums.org. Commercial Contributors often have stores where hosting, skins and mods can be purchased, or can provide custom development or support work as required.
Can I offer my help in the forum without subscribing to Commercial Contributor status?
Yes you can, but you are not permitted to take payment for your services.
How can this be enforced? I mean, you cannot prevent me sending a Personal Message or emailing other members outside of the forum?
This is true, however the benefits of becoming a Commercial Contributor far outweigh the risk being banned from the forum for not adhering to our rules. We operate a strict policy on members breaking our Commercial Contributor status requirement rules, which are in place to protect our members from rogue traders. And for the sake of a small fee, it's really not worth the risk.
Why is there a fee for becoming a Commercial Contributor?
In order to continue growing and promoting the services this site offers to the CubeCart community, we must continue to invest both time and money into maintaining the site. Therefore we charge Commercial Contributors a fee to cover expenses, advertising, future projects, and time it takes to keep the site up to date. This in turn helps bring more business opportunities to the site.
What does being a Commercial Contributor enable me to do? And how much does it cost?
We have three packages for Commercial membership status: Lite, Standard and Max. Choose which package benefits you the most from the the comparison table below:

What is the Fraud Alert Network?
Protected by CubeCartForums.org Fraud Alert Network
The Alert Network is a Commercial Contributor wide network designed to detect fraudulent orders. Requires a CubeCart v3 or v4 store.

Stores participating in the Alert Network may or may not have the logo on display, as shown here.
How big is the catalogue banner on the portal page?
180px wide by 150px tall, which is the size of the template on the right. The banner image must be no bigger than 20k. It is up to the member to supply a banner image once you have created an account in the catalogue.
How much can I expect to earn by being a Commercial Contributor?
An active Full Commercial Contributor member, with their own store, and making full use of the services available on the site can expect a turnover of in excess of £5,000 (roughly $10,000 USD*) per year from new and returning customers.

The amount of time a Commercial Contributor spends helping members in the forum directly relates to the business that is generated.

Don't forget to familiarise yourself with the Forum Rules again, as different rules apply to Commercial Contributors as opposed to standard members.
Important Information about Renewal
Please note that renewal before the annual subscription expiry date is the responsibility of the member. Renewal continues from the expiry date of the current subscription, not from the date of renewal, allowing members a continual membership without overlap. However, if you don't renew your Commercial membership subscription, your commercial threads will be removed upon expiry.

We reserve the right to update this page and the features associated with Commercial Status at any time.

UK / EU Subscriptions

Why is there a seperate button for UK/EU Subscriptions?
We are now obliged to charge VAT on all EU subscriptions in addition to UK subscriptions, as we are UK based.

Previously we have taken VAT out of the standard UK subscriptions, however as we must now account for EU subscriptions as well we must change our policy.

As those within the EU will know, we do have the option to not charge VAT where a valid VAT certificate can be provided. However due to the charges involved, we do not have the resources to validate each application, therefore we will be charging VAT across all subscriptions within the EU.

VAT will be charged if you are in one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.

If you require a VAT invoice for your payment, please subscribe to the yearly payment and let us know through the Inspired Solutions Helpdesk.

Currency conversion to USD

Why does it say 'Currency conversion to USD is estimated'?
We are based in the UK, therefore currencies are based on the GBP pound. The USD equivalent is estimated, and based on the conversion at time of writing. It does not automatically change.

However, the USD conversion has changed a lot over recent months, so for an accurate conversion please Google for a Currency Conversion site for a more accurate conversion.

PayPal will use the current conversion rate for USD, not the USD figure listed on this page.
